Music & Movement plays an important part of every early childhood environment. Some programs choose to have an interest area dedicated to music and movement others make it a part of their daily routine. However you use music and movement activities in your program there are a wealth of resources out there to enhance children's learning and development. Children will use gross motor skills when they learn how to maneuver their bodies in different ways through dancing & using instruments. We practice balance and rhythm! Interactive songs such as, "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" are used as great tools to help children follow direction as well as building on their imaginative skills.
